Kwalee has introduced a minority funding in Devolver Digital.
The cell writer now holds a 3.58% share of Devolver, which was made as a part of its technique to extend publicity of its PC and console phase.
The funding follows the latest launch of PC rhythm shooter Robobeat, developed by Madness Video games. Kwalee has extra PC and console video games within the pipeline, together with The Precinct (Fallen Tree Video games), The Spirit of the Samurai (Digital Minds), and In Sink (Clock Out Video games).
„I wish to thank Harry [Miller] and the Devolver workforce for giving us the chance to put money into such a implausible model and class of defining video games,“ mentioned Kwalee founder and CEO David Darling.
„Kwalee has bold plans for development and can make investments and work with the main gamers within the business as we pursue our mission to take advantage of enjoyable video games for the world’s gamers.“
Earlier this yr, Kwalee invested €1.5 million in French mobile studio 8SEC, which specialises in „hybrid informal“ cell video games.
