VR studio Archiact is closing down.
In a press release posted to LinkedIn, the Canadian studio mentioned it knowledgeable all employees yesterday, August 12, that it’ll „shut in two weeks.“
Archiact was shaped in 2013 and positioned itself as a „pioneer in VR“, „devoted to the event of immersive actuality video games,“ together with Doom 3: VR Version, Journey to Basis, Marvel Dimension of Heroes, and Evasion.
Throughout its 11-year tenure, the group revealed 35 video games and „partnered with a very powerful corporations within the business,“ „push[ing] the chances of VR and MR.“
„What an incredible journey it has been,“ the studio – which has developed titles for PS VR2, Meta Quest, and Pico – mentioned in a press release.
„Most significantly, [Archiact] served as a house through the years to a whole bunch of gifted builders. They believed within the energy of video games and the promise of immersive actuality. And so they believed in each other and all the gamers they touched.
„Thanks to everybody who made this journey doable.“
The closure follows a round of layoffs in January. At the moment, the studio’s personal LinkedIn profile listed its firm measurement as starting from 51 to 200 staff.
